Metrey Craft grew out of Women for Women Foundation in 2021, created to bring the foundation’s handwoven silk to customers in Cambodia. Building on 20 years of professional handcraft experience, we make bags, purses, wallets, scarves, jewelry and accessories in handwoven silk, using the traditional hol pattern.
Our pieces come from artisan communities in Takeo, Preak Chey, Phnom Srok, Kampong Cham and Battambang. 80% of our makers are women and persons with disabilities.
We believe Cambodia’s heritage belongs in everyday life. When you choose locally woven silk, you support the producers who keep these traditions alive.
Women for Women Foundation promotes the advancement of women and girls through social empowerment, community economic development and civic engagement.

Chanveasna “Veasna” Nhean
ម្ចាស់ និងនាយកគ្រប់គ្រងVeasna is co-founder and Executive Director of Women for Women Foundation, based in Kandal Province. A graduate of the Royal University of Fine Arts in Interior Design, she has worked for 15 years in the private sector, including as Managing Director of Cambodia Silk Trading Company and as co-founder of M Silk.
She has worked with the International Trade Centre to promote Cambodian silk, and she mentors young women entrepreneurs.
